Allister Young

Allister originally joined Coastline as Director of Finance in 2012, before becoming CEO in 2014. After studying Physics at the University of Edinburgh he qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in London.
His previous roles include Assistant Director of Finance at the Peabody Trust, and Director of Finance & Resources at Tree Aid. He was a board member of PlaceShapers from 2017 to 2023, is a member of the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Strategic Housing Group, and vice-chair of the National Housing Federation’s South West region.
Louise Beard
Deputy CEO with responsibility for Housing, Assets and Communities
Louise joined Coastline in 2007 and has an excellent and demonstrable record of accomplishment of strategic leadership at senior executive level within the housing, care and support sector. She has over 30 years’ experience in social housing and a genuine belief in affordable housing improving quality of life, health and wellbeing for customers.
Her main responsibilities include assisting the CEO in ensuring effective leadership and executive management, and to deputise for the CEO on key strategic matters. She also provides a clear focus on exceptional customer service, income collection, repairs and maintenance, and property investment and viability.
Louise is the responsible individual with the Care Quality Commission for Coastline’s Extra Care service at Miners Court in Redruth.
She joined the National Housing Federation’s Homelessness National Group in 2023, and is housing theme lead on the Turning The Tide strategic Cost of Living Group for Cornwall. Louise was a voluntary member of the Cornwall Trustees for Shared Lives South West between 2014 and 2022, and Chair of Community Led Local Development for Coast to Coast from 2018 to 2023.
Nathan Mallows
Director of Finance, People and Change
Nathan is a passionate and experienced finance professional with a background in social housing and non-profit sectors. He is responsible for setting and delivering Coastline’s finance and treasury strategy, managing and reporting on financial performance, overseeing ICT and digital transformation, and leading on people development and organisational culture. Nathan strongly believes in the power of people and housing to improve lives and communities.
Before joining Coastline in 2016, Nathan worked as a Consultant Director of Finance at Women’s Pioneer Housing, a specialist housing provider for women in London. He also ran his own social housing consultancy business, Infinitas Consulting Limited, offering support and guidance to housing organisations at board, executive and operational levels. Other senior roles include positions at North Hertfordshire Homes, A2Dominion Housing Group and Paradigm Housing Group.
Nathan become a member of the National Housing Federation’s Finance Policy Advisory Group in 2017 and chair of that Group since 2018. In 2022 he joined the British Property Federation.
Outside of work, Nathan’s life is focussed around people and family – on his wife, two teenage children and a black Labrador, plus friends made locally and during previous adventures.
Chris Weston
Director of Development and Commercial Services
Chris is driving Coastline’s development programme, which continues to bring much-needed new affordable homes to Cornwall.
He has almost 30 years’ experience and knowledge of development, construction and customer service in the private and affordable housing sectors. Before working at Coastline, Chris was Operations Director for one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, where he was responsible for the Southern Region.
In addition to Development he provides the executive lead for Health & Safety, Procurement, Innovation and Coastline’s Environmental Strategy.
Chris is also the vice chair of Cornwall Housing Partnership, a member of the NHF Rural Housing Group, and a trustee of Transformation Cornwall, a charity supporting groups in tackling poverty and exclusion in Cornwall.
