Colleagues and customers from across Coastline have been coming together to help plant a variety of trees in different areas of Cornwall.
So far, we have planted 100 trees, mainly in the Camborne and Redruth areas. We have plans to bring more trees to more areas of Cornwall in future though – so watch this space.
We have been working closely with Cornwall Council's Forest for Cornwall Team on this project. Staff have kindly shared their expertise and practical help to get these trees off to the very best start in life.
Councillor Martyn Alvey, Portfolio Holder for the Environment and Climate Change, visited one of our tree planting sites to lend a hand too and see the results of our hard work.
A number of the trees were planted on the green space at St Meriadoc Park in Camborne where, after consultation with residents, we removed some unused play equipment to create a green nature area that everyone can enjoy - especially in the warmer months.
We're looking forward to seeing how the trees and plants here continue to grow and shape this new space for the local community.
