Members of our Tenancy Team joined with colleagues from Live West to hold a Neighbourhood Assurance Walkabout at Roundhouse Way in Helston.
This means that we knock on all the doors of our homes in a particular area and chat to the customers about their neighbourhood, answer any questions they might have and address any concerns that they might want to raise with us.
There are 70 homes at Roundhouse Way and, on the day we visited, 30 people opened the door and chatted to us. A further four people called our team for a chat the following day after receiving a letter saying that we had been in the area.
The residents we spoke to were generally very happy with where they live and the community spirit there. They have set up their own Facebook group to communicate and support each other and there was some great feedback about Coastline generally as a landlord.
There were a few issues of Anti-Social Behaviour reported to us, all of which we have logged and will be following up. We have also since sent diary sheets to the customers that reported concerns so that they can keep a note of any other instances of ASB occurring in future.
Three customers also made us aware of repairs that need carrying out to their properties on the day so we've since raised work orders for these to be done.
A couple of customers raised concerns about parking issues and we were also able to answer some queries about service charges, grounds maintenance and tenancy agreements while we were there too.
