Universal Credit
When to update your new rent costs
You will have had a letter in February or March from Coastline showing new rent costs. If you receive Universal Credit and are wondering when to update these on your journal, please do this on 1st April 2024.
Anyone updating their rent before this date will have to redo it on the 1st April as that is when the rent changes.
Benefit entitlements
From the new financial year on 1st April, it might be a good time to use a benefit calculator to see if you are eligible for any support from benefits, even if you previously haven’t received any. Benefits will be increasing slightly, but perhaps your wages haven’t?
Take a few minutes to check on the free benefit calculator at Entitled To.
