Coastline’s Community Investment Team organised two Community Days over the Easter holidays. These days offer a great chance for our customers and colleagues to get to know each other better, all part of providing respectful and helpful engagement.
In St Ives, team members Laura and Bradley were joined by Coastline volunteer Claire. They called at more than 30 homes to talk about getting involved with Coastline and hear about how things are locally. All those residents said they were happy with the area, their homes, and the services Coastline provides.
One couple who had just moved in said Coastline had been great and made the lettings process easy. A lady who owns her home, having bought it through the shared ownership scheme, said she loves her house and feels very lucky to live there. Another lady said it was great that we were getting out to meet everyone.
While walking around, Laura and Bradley filled two bags with litter pickings, helping to keep the area tidy.
Claire said it was nice to hear people so happy with where they lived.
In Camborne, Laura and Bradley visited Rew an Devna, Fordh Aventurous and Garth Resker Soth. They were joined by Coastline’s tenancy officer for the area, Lyndsay, and Councillor James Ball from Camborne Town Council. Also there, was Jo Knuckey from the National Literacy Trust who gave out books to some of the local children.
Customers said there were happy to have the chance to feedback directly about some issues, especially with a bin store, and felt that the litter pick taking place was a good way to tackle it. Poor weather cut the picking short, but the area was left clean with two bags filled.
More Community Days are planned throughout 2024, so do follow our social media for the latest updates - Facebook, Instagram, Threads and X (Twitter).
