Colleagues in our Building Futures Team came together to celebrate the fact that they have met – and exceeded – all their targets, helping over 151 people locally since the project began.
It’s been a huge team effort and it’s resulted in:
- 10 people (against a target of eight) being helped into training
- 19 unemployed participants (against a target of nine) helped into work.
- 25 economically inactive participants (against a target of 20) into work or a job search.
Plus countless other success stories relating to confidence building, work experience, CV writing skills, accessing health and wellbeing support, gaining a greater sense of belonging and purpose, and trying new things.
Team members have worked with a diverse range of participants, from across Cornwall, and we look forward to sharing our evaluation report once the project ends in September.
Some of the feedback from participants really shows the impact the project has had. Here are a few snippets:
"Thanks for your help, it gave me the opportunity I need to move forward."
"I’m so grateful for the gym membership, I really needed something to add routine and structure my day and to motivate me to leave the house and not drink. I am so happy”
“Thank you for helping me when I thought I was unemployable.”
“Thank you for everything you help me with, I feel like you really listen to me.”
“I am thankful for the phone as I was completely cut off from everything before.”
“I didn’t realise support like this was available but I am really grateful.”
