Testing in your home
Coastline has a rolling five year cycle of testing in homes and workplaces to check radon levels and the effectiveness of any radon reducing measures.
We may send you radon sensors to keep in your home for a fixed amount of time in order to check the levels.
Many homes in a radon affected area, particularly newer ones, do not have an issue. There are many factors which affect it, so even if next door has a high radon reading your home might not.
If the level of radon in your home is high enough for action to be taken, we can install things like sumps and pumps to help bring it down.
We will talk you through it step by step and answer any questions you have should we need to install them.
If you have a radon sump installed at your property, you might be interested in reading our customer guide on radon sumps. It answers some commonly asked questions. Download it from the featured documents section below.
